Death Valley Rangers Tell People To Stop Frying Eggs

Some time, a good intention to tell people how bad it is can have an opposite consequence.

The Death Valley National Park authorities tried to show just how hot the temperature is there by frying an egg in a skillet using just the heat from the sun. The video was uploaded on YouTube, and that's when stupid amateurs from all over started flocking into Death Valley and attempted their own egg frying. Unfortunately, they created a mess.

“An employee's posting of frying an egg in a pan in Death Valley was intended to demonstrate how hot it can get here, with the recommendation that if you do this, use a pan or tin foil and properly dispose of the contents. However, the Death Valley NP maintenance crew has been busy cleaning up eggs cracked directly on the sidewalk, including egg cartons and shells strewn across the parking lot.

This is your national park, please put trash in the garbage or recycle bins provided and don’t crack eggs on the sidewalks, or the Salt Playa at Badwater. (nm)”

There are just stupid people out there, folks! They are the reason why the gene pool needs some chlorine.

Way Cool, Dad!

This is an amazing thing that a Dad did. He took a photo of his son each day throughout the 21 years of the boy's life, and have compiled it into this 6-minute video. An amazing dedication not only to snapping all those photos, but also to do this compilation. As someone who also does video editing, I can tell you that this isn't trivial.

Unbelievable Volleyball Rally

Holy cow! I got tired just from watching it!




The sad part at the end was that, most of the crowd were cheering/clapping, but they were still stuck to their seats! If this were in the US or Europe, the crowd would have been on their feet giving these players standing ovations. What does it take for the Chinese fans to give a standing ovation? Someone has to die or something?

Michael Buble on Graham Norton Show

There have been many amazing moments on Graham Norton show, but I think this has to rank as one of the top. Michael Buble's appearance on it was very funny and enjoyable. But he capped it off with an amazing performance of his tune "Haven't Met You Yet".





It will hard to top this one. I still watch these two videos regularly even this was from Fall of 2009. Michael Buble is one amazing performer.

Florida Farmers Destroys Strawberry Crop

Can you believe this? The strawberry farmers in Florida are purposely destroying their crops because it is cheaper than harvesting and selling them.

Now, I can understand about limiting supply and the fact that it'll cost them a lot more for harvesting them than what they can get by selling the crop. But they've used up so much resources to get to this point already! I can't believe they won't even let other people harvest the crop themselves. And it is strange that they're afraid of letting the public come in and pick those strawberries. Strawberry picking is such a common activity out here in the upper midwest. I've never heard of these midwest farmers being afraid of being sued because someone got "injured".

I'm glad that there are already farmers letting the public, especially those who provide food for the poor, pick their own strawberries, for free. I wish I know which farmers are destroying their crop, so that I'll make sure that I never buy anything from them ever again.
