Do You Have A Song Stuck In Your Head?

They have done a scientific research, and here's how you can get rid of that tune that's stuck in your head.

The trick, it seems, is to solve puzzles -- sudoku, for example. But by far the most effective puzzle was five-letter anagrams.

The reason for this, the researchers say, is that puzzles engage the brain just enough. The abstract from the study "Going Gaga: Investigating, Creating and Manipulating the Song Stuck in My Head" states:
"The return of intrusive songs depended on cognitive resources: people reported that intrusive songs returned during low cognitive load activities, and we found that overloading the cognitive systems with challenging activities increased intrusive song frequency."

So if I start humming "It's A Small World", you now know what to do.

Drug Deal Spoiled By 911 Butt Dial

I tell ya, you can't make these things up!

A drug deal was spoiled when one of the dealers accidentally butt dialed 911 on his cell phone, allowing the dispatcher to listen in to the drug deal.

As KGW-TV deals it, Raleigh Reynolds, 25, was allegedly about to participate in a narcotic business transaction.

Unfortunately (at least for him), police say a 911 dispatcher got to listen in on the proceedings, as Reynolods inadvertently called it in.
.
.
So, with the help of GPS technology, the call was traced to a back alley in Molalla, Ore., conveniently just one block from the police station.

The two suspects, a man and a woman, allegedly declared that no, they didn't have a cell phone. However, the Molalla police have quite some IQ. They spoke loudly and, lo, the dispatcher could hear their voices.
That is hysterical!
